Message for Leaving Cert Class of 2021

Dear Graduate,  

We hope you had an enjoyable and safe summer. Leaving Certificate students 2021 will have access to provisional results on the Candidate Self-Service Portal from 10am on Friday 3rd September. We hope all our students will be satisfied with their Leaving Certificate results. Please take note of the following useful information:  

 Candidates will be able to view their results and print a statement of provisional results from the CSSP.  

 The results will not detail whether the grade was achieved from the written examination or an Accredited Grade. This information will become available on Tuesday 7th September.  

 The CAO will offer first round places on Tuesday 7th September. Candidates must reply to the offer by 13th September.  

 Second round offers will issues from the CAO on Monday 20th September. 

  The Leaving Certificate candidate helpline provided by the National Parents Council post-primary is accessible from 3rd – 7th September on 1800 265 165. This helpline is staffed by qualified guidance counsellors.  

 The SEC Candidate Helpline will be available from 3rd – 13th September from 9am – 5pm. The numbers to contact are 1800 111135 or 1800 111136.  

 Applications for viewing of scripts opens on Tuesday 7th September and closes on Wednesday, 8th September. (note the short time frame)  

 Viewing of scripts will take place on Saturday 11th September and Sunday 12th September.  

 Applications to Appeal Examination results and Accredited Grades opens on Saturday 11th September and closes on Monday 13th September. No fee will apply this year.  

 Our Student Support Team will be available to assist students. Please email info.acc@lwetb.ie  on Tuesday 7th September should your require support.

Well done to Leaving Certs

Celebrations were obvious as the class of 2020 at Athlone Community College achieved spectacurarly with several obtaining H1 in every subject. Those included Adam Cummins,Michael Flynn and Rebecca Campion while 40% achieved over 500 points including Eve Conway and Wiktoria Sewerniak both off to Trinity to study English and Pharmacy. Well done indeed.

Congratulations to Adam Milton, Emma Flannery and Shane Cleary have won an Institute of Physics Award at the SciFest@College 2020 Online regional STEM fair #Scifest2020 #science #engineersireland and to their teacher Ms.Glynn.

Athlone Community College to link with International Space station

Athlone CC has been selected for a special project with ARISS and the International Space Station.Students will speak to an Astronaut on board the ISS in December. What a thrill that will be.

Thank you to all who tuned in to this spectacular event.

A special thanks to Anthony Cunningham, Ciarán Mullooly, Damien Comer, Sinead Dervan,Caoimhe Kenny,and  Joanne O Riordan who spoke on the night as our Special guests and to Ms. Lavery Director of Schools.

As our Principal Mrs.Donohoe stated our students have simply been brilliant and resilient.Well done.
