Educational Exchange

"Ce qui n'est pas clair n'est pas francais"
(What is not clear is not French) - Antoine de Rivarol

An important part of any exchange is that students have an opportunity to compare their lifestyles and appreciate each other as young Europeans sharing many similarities yet accepting the differences between our cultures.

The educational value of such an exchange cannot be measured. It lies in the newly broadened mind of each individual ready to reach out and embrace the people of another nation.

The College has hosted a group of German students from Ludwigshafen, in Germany for the past number of years. We also host a group from France. We introduce students to a sample of Irish life, historic, cultural and social. After Christmas students from Athlone Community College travel to France and Germany to experience some of the European way of life.
