Extra Curricular Activities

There is a range and breadth of extra curricular activities in Athlone Community College that is as impressive as it is long. It encompasses success and participation to All Ireland level on the Sports field, in the Debating chambers, in the musical arenas and in the Games rooms and the school cinema.

Quite simply, there is an extra curricular activity to suit everyone, no matter how sporting, academic, musical, or diverse the interests.
Extra curricular activities in our school allow students to benefit in line with the well established maxim ‘Mens Sano in Corpore Sano’ (a healthy mind in a healthy body) and these activities embellish the lives of students long after they leave school.

Success and endeavour in all things is our guiding principle, and the consequent enjoyment that comes with it motivates our students to take full benefit from our unequalled range of activities.
