Arts-in-Education BLAST Residency Programme in 2021/2022

We have been successful in our application to The Department of Education's new innovative Arts-in-Education BLAST Residency Programme in 2021/2022. This initiative aims to support the integration of the principles and key skills outlined in the Arts in Education Charter and the Creative Ireland Programme (2017-2022), Pillar 1 Creative Youth.

We will have an Artist in Residency in school working with our students on the whole area of student voice and identity.

Schools of Excellence Creative Cluster

We are proud to be the Lead School in a School of Excellence initiative, which is in partnership with Athlone Institute of Technology, now TUS, and our neighbouring schools. Our students, Jane Hennelly, Maeve Costello, Aiveen Curley, Conor Doran, Brendan Murphy, Conor Feeney and Kristers Jonasss will have an amazing opportunity to attend workshops in TUS where they are working with experts in the area of Technology, Electronics and Creativity. They investigate real life problems, look for solutions and enter a number of competitions all with the guidance and support of full time lecturers and researchers in TUS. An exciting world is at their fingertips!
